To help train their in-store sales staff, the Nokia Training Academy wanted to develop a simple game using "skill and drill" methodologies. Working with 16by9 Studios and Herosion, Supercosm conceived of Chart Toppers, a music-based world where Nokia employees competed to move their way up the ranks by answering multiple choice questions about Nokia products and pop culture. At the end of each week, employees with the most points moved up from Undiscovered to Solid Gold. By developing a strong narrative structure and simple game play mechanism, Supercosm and its collaborators created an effective solution to Nokia's training needs.
